Vol Fan,
I was part of that crowd yelling "pac-10 football" at the game. Our section (the few thousand you mention) was on the opposite end of the field from the down player. We didn't even see there was an injury. Once we realized play had stopped and a player was hurt everyone quieted. Obviously nobody would intentionally do what you accuse cal fans of doing.

I know the loss stung and you want to mad at something but you anger is misdirected. Be upset at your special teams, secondary, coach, quarterback, defensive line... not the cal fans.

GO BEARS!

BTW, glad to hear Xavier Mitchell's MRI came out negative and he should play again soon.

Hey, UT Vol Fan - I was one of those guilty of chanting. At the time, I was walking up the aisle, facing away from the field of play. When I returned to my seat, I noticed my friends (and many others) telling people to be quiet--they realized there was an injured player. Of course, I quieted down immediately.

I agree that it's classless to cheer when a player is injured, and I'm sorry for that.

Hey,

Just wanted to thank all the cal fans who where chanting "pac 10 football" while one of our players laid motionless on the turf. As classless as Fla and LSU fans can be, I have never heard any SEC school chant/cheer/band play or anything else when a serious injury occurs on the field.

Now realize this is not directed to all fans, just the few thousand chanting.

Kudos Cal.
