Well before we even discuss Cal being overrated I suggest you open your eyes and look at Wisconsin! Talk about a freaking joke!

I was surprised to see Cal go up from 10 to 8. Like many, while I'm obviously glad Cal won, I thought their performance on Saturday was below par. I guess Cal's getting a good reputation among coaches and AP, which is great news. As for last Saturday, I think most people shouldn't dwell on it. If nothing else, it's a game that should keep Cal players and coaches on their toes in the coming weeks.

Number 8 seems a tad high at this point. It seems that the ranking was helped immensely by poor performances by teams ranked nearby and the fact that we didn't lose. We looked simply anemic on defense and did barely enough to finish out the game. yeah yeah I know some of the backup guys were in there taking the late snaps but this game was still way too close for comfort. Just imagine what some of the other Pac-10 teams will do to us when we have to face them. Oregon, USC, and UCLA all look to have good passing as well as rushing attacks. We have the talent to outscore other teams on offense but that's a risky way to go; at some point, our defense is going to have to deliver. Looks to be a tough uphill battle unless there's a change in the way we play.
