I almost feel like these Cal blogs are pointless. It’s the same story with this team every year and I agree with TrueBlue2, it is repetitive and I feel they are boring to watch on the field. To be honest, being a student at Berkeley is hard enough. If I’m going to take a break in my studies, I want to see a team that really wants to do something significant, otherwise I have better things to do.

How does a person who is the highest paid employee in the UC system make such dumb f(^^*&ing mistakes week in and week out. Why did you not equally use Vereen and Best (taking some of the load off best?). If you have a dual qb system why stick with Longshore even when he has obviously cooled off? Why wait to put Riley in once you have dug yourself into a 3 score pit? Message to the UC system I will coach the team for 300K and make far better decisions than your 2.5 million wonder boy (joke).

All I have to say is thanks alot Nate Longshore! But I cant really blame Longshore can I. Coach Tedford you have proven to be both a stubborn and idiotic decisionmaker period. You squandered the 2007 season based on your blind support of Longshore. This season you had finally switched the duties to Riley when after one bad game you pulled him from starting only to force Longshore on the fans once again! I swear Tedford must be dating Longshore’s mom or something. I have never seen a coach willing to throw an entire program away for one player.

Tedford says that the qb starting position is still in competition. Both quarterbacks have taken equal 1st team snaps during practice this week. However, barring any major difference in practice, my best guess is that Longshore will again be starting. In either case though, Tedford has shown that he does not like changing quarterbacks mid game. Expect the starting QB to play the whole game unless there are a ton of errors.

is longshore going to start against arizona this week? if so, do you think riley will play if he starts?
