Baking Cakes in a 3D Pan
3D cakes are perfect for any sporting occasion because they can compliment any game or favorite player. Cakes that are baked in a 3D pan stand up on their own and show of every detail of the pan.
As a quick tip, chocolate, yellow, and pound cakes produce the best in a 3D pan. You first want to to start by putting aluminum foil on the oven rack to hold any batter that may overflow from the pan.
Grease both sides of the pan with shortening, dust both sides with flour, and mix together the ingredients and cake batter. Add the batter to the front half of the pan. Then, place the back half of the pan onto the front half and tie it together with a cotton string so the pan will securely hold together.
Place the cake pan in the oven on a cookie sheet and bake according to the instructions on the cake mix box. Once the time is finished, remove from the oven and stick a toothpick in the vent hole of the 3D pan to determine if the cake is thoroughly done. If it is removed without batter on the toothpick, the cake is finished and should be placed on a cooling rack.
Remove the top half of the cake pan and let it cool. Put the top half of the pan back on and repeat the process for the bottom half until the cake has cooled for a full four hours. Once cooling is finished, turn the cake upright onto a serving tray and carefully take the pan halves off.
The final step in the process is to decorate your cake to your design favoring. Whether you chose to bake a favorite player from the Bears, or their mascot, the 3D cake will surely compliment their great moments in history. You thought this was good?
